Shae

Shae
Small town, population 1,240
40 years ago, Shae was a tiny farming community of 3 families built on a fertile floodplain near the coast north of Salamonis. The town’s location quickly ensured its growth to a larger town as more and more families started to move here. Not only is the land incredibly fertile and able to grow almost any kind of crop, the sea yields bountiful catches each and every day and a vein of silver and gold was discovered in the hills nearby. Thanks to the Capitavirate’s influence Shae is now a booming trading town, dealing with native tribes to the north and east and allowing their people to live in the town without persecution or prejudice.

Shae’s main export is food, feeding the industrial monsters that are Salamonis and Port Blacksand. Grain, fish, fruit, meat, sugar, quality limber, gold, silver and now even glass are regularly shipped, carted and sent to Salamonis or Port Blacksand for consumption.

Shae also holds the only multi-faith church outside of Salamonis itself. This was built to mark the absence of forced Heironeous worshipon the populace, but this church did include a shrine to the paladin god to promote good relations between the faiths. The temple was burned down a year ago in an accident and now a bigger, more impressive one has been built in its place. The construction is almost finished and will be opened on Freedom Day this year to mark the new era of free choice within Salamon.
